    I’ve been finding the title of “Master” a bit cringe lately for various reasons, and have been thinking about a rebrand/renaming of sorts.

    For me is about the range of ownership. I like to be called Sir by people who want to serve me but aren't yet mine, but then change to something more special like Amo (Master in Spanish). But that category must be earned.

    In UK English, master is a general authority in the house (or a young boy who's isn't a mister yet) - in US English, I think it has more connotations connected to the ownership of black slaves.     Master should be reserved to that very special person subs and slaves decide to fully submit and be devoted to. Not to be used lightly and for a one spot meeting…
